Payment Methods

The RM offers payments in person or by mail. We also have a convenient door drop slot for any after hours needs.

  • Cheque
  • Credit Card (during office hours or online anytime)

Cheques to be made to the RM of Pense. Note we accept post-dated cheques. Receipts will be issued on the date indicated on the cheque.

Please remember when using this method, be sure to include the following:

  • Account/Invoice number if applicable
  • Name of Account holder
  • Purpose of the payment

On your internet banking site, you can find us in the list of vendors that are authorized to receive payments. The following list shows how the R.M. of Pense is identified at different banks. 

The R.M. receives notice from your bank that a payment has been made. We will then issue a receipt and mail it to you.

Your customer account number is:

  • for taxes – your owner number located beside your name on your tax notice in brackets 
  • for utilities, etc. – your account number listed on your invoice

Through OptionPay, our third-party payment processor, for a nominal processing fee you can make card payment (Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, Mastercard Debit) through our website or at the office. All processing fees are charged by OptionPay and are not received by the RM. OptionPay's maximum amount per transaction is $30,000.

What is OptionPay?

OptionPay is a payment card system the RM uses for its online credit/debit card transactions. You can find out more information about OptionPay by visiting their website here.

Is there an added fee for using OptionPay to pay my MCNP bills with my credit card?

Yes. All transactions carried out through OptionPay follow a tiered schedule, starting at a minimum fee of $2.00. To see the full fee schedule for using this payment option, please visit their fee schedule here. Note that credit card Rewards are earned on entire purchase, including fees.

Why is there an added fee to pay with credit card?

The fees are administered through the Option Pay program for the use of their service, and not through the RM.

Is my credit card and personal information secure with this program?

OptionPay provides information on their security measures here. Please note that the RM takes no responsibility for, and accepts no liability, in the event of security breaches, technical difficulty, or other issues that may arise from your use for OptionPay.
